<<<He was born in Pau on October 5, 1816; his father was a bookbinder. He was a former student of the Arts et Métiers d'Angers who was first a papermaker-binder, like his father, then a licensed bookseller on May 5, 1843. His talent as a draftsman earned him several awards at exhibitions in Toulouse and Bordeaux. He was the owner of the Hôtel de Bayard located 2 place Royal in Pau in 1846. Built in 1640, it was remodeled at the beginning of the 18th century by Antoine de Bayard. Bassy put an end to his professional activity in 1876.>>>
